Navigating the Remote Work Revolution WithLogitech CEO Bracken Darrell

In a recent virtual event, Logitech CEO Bracken Darrell sat down with industry leaders to discuss the company's experiences navigating the remote work revolution and offer valuable advice for young professionals. 


The conversation provided a unique glimpse into Logitech's adaptations during the pandemic and Darrell's perspectives on leadership, innovation, and personal growth.


One of the key themes that emerged was the importance of transparency and communication within Logitech during the shift to remote work. As Darrell explained,

"I started doing a weekly recording, which was sometimes good and sometimes really terrible, but it was always there. And now that we've done it, we'll probably never stop doing it." 


This regular communication helped ensure employees felt connected to the company, even while working remotely.


When discussing the future of virtual and augmented reality, Darrell shared Logitech's cautious approach, noting, "I still think we're five or 10 years away from where you're going to walk into an office and put on a light, small pair of glasses, and you won't have screens in front of you."


However, he emphasized the company's ongoing exploration of these emerging technologies, stating, "We started working on VR and AR about six or seven years ago. We started with, just as we always do when we're looking at new things, we start with very small teams, and we start experimenting, trying to understand users and technologies and how they might come together."


Darrell also offered valuable career advice for young professionals, emphasizing the importance of setting goals in all aspects of life, not just work. 


"Your career is just a part of your life. You'll get lots of advice on setting career goals, building a plan, and creating processes and habits to be successful. Good. Do that—but do it for every part of your life."

Another key piece of advice from Darrell was to view oneself as a "brand" and constantly work on personal development. 


"You are a brand. You're your product So everything you're doing, you're building more into that product. And you should think of yourself that way all your life."


Throughout the conversation, Bracken Darrell's insights and leadership lessons provided valuable takeaways for attendees, highlighting Logitech's adaptability, the importance of communication and connection, and the holistic approach to personal and professional growth.
