JEWISH LEADERSHIP AND GROWTH FORUM
Insights and Strategies for Professional and Community Development

Every season, I like to step back and look at what’s coming across the Jewish Business Network. I founded JBN and the four networks under it, Osher, Menorah, Dynasty and Innovation16, because I believe business leaders do their best work, in their companies and in their giving, when they learn alongside people who share their values. This fall, each network has something worth paying attention to.
Founders are often most honest with other founders. That’s the idea behind so much of what Osher does, and the next few weeks show it well.
On October 27, Osher’s Miami Chapter gathers for dinner. On November 4, Osher’s Founders & Operators Peer Exchange brings members together on Zoom with Glenn Solomon of Notable Capital, for a conversation about building and scaling companies. Then, on November 17 and 18, founders and CEOs meet in San Francisco for Osher’s CEO & Founders Retreat.
What I appreciate about these gatherings is that nobody comes to perform. People bring the decisions they’re actually facing, and they leave with perspective they couldn’t have found on their own. You can learn more at osher.com.
Menorah’s Beverly Hills Forum on October 20 and 21 brings together asset managers and investors who want to compare notes with successful peers and find the best opportunities in front of them. The conversations are practical: where the market is heading, which deals are worth a closer look and what experienced investors are seeing that others miss.
Philanthropy is part of the picture too. Many of the investors at Menorah think about how their capital can serve their families and communities over the long term, and that perspective shapes how they invest.
Some of the most important conversations I have aren’t about business at all. They’re about family: what we’re building, who will carry it forward and what we want our giving to say about us.
Dynasty’s NYC Forum on October 28 and 29 is where many of those conversations happen. Dynasty is a community of philanthropic families who join together to strengthen Jewish life and combat modern antisemitism. More and more, its conversations turn to legacy: not what a family leaves behind in an estate plan, but what it decides while everyone is still at the table, including the next generation.
On November 10 and 11, Innovation16 hosts the Dallas Investment & Philanthropy Retreat. Innovation16 brings together investors, philanthropic families and corporate leaders from many communities around a shared question: how can private capital help solve public problems?
Giving is at the center of the program. Philanthropy sessions look at building alliances, supporting the next generation of leaders and strengthening civil society, alongside business conversations on topics like the future of health and where the market is underestimating AI. After the Utah Forum earlier this year, I’m looking forward to seeing what comes out of Dallas.
Each network serves a different community, and each has its own criteria for who takes part. But when I look across all of them this fall, the same four ideas keep coming up.
Legacy. The leaders I work with want what they build to outlast them, in their companies, their families and their giving.
Learning from peers. The best advice rarely comes from a stage. It comes from someone a few steps ahead who is willing to be honest about what they got wrong.
Giving with strategy. Generosity matters most when it’s aimed well. More of the families and founders in our networks are asking not just how much to give, but how to give in a way that changes something.
What we owe the next generation. Our children and grandchildren will inherit more than wealth. They’ll inherit the habits, values and relationships we model now.
That’s the work across the Jewish Business Network this fall. If one of these communities speaks to where you are, I’d encourage you to learn more about it, and I look forward to sharing what comes out of these gatherings in the months ahead.
